Westfield Resource Centre

St Luke's are still waiting to hear from Wakefield District Council to see if their bid to purchase the Westfield Resource Centre has been successful. Pastor Martyn Sullivan described the building as "run down" but went on to say that it would present the church with a great opportunity to create a fantastic resource for the church and local community.

NEW CHRISTIAN RADIO

Fantastic news if you are a lover of music ... St Luke's is about to begin a new Internet Radio Station called "Live 316 Radio" .. You can listen on your computer, iphone, android, blackberry to all the latest sounds and some of the older albums to as well as some great messages from preachers around the world .. Live Streaming

Back in the summer St Luke's had a trial run streaming their Sunday evening services. Well its back but much better, questioned about the new service Pastor Martyn Sullivan said "The trial run was a great experience and we learned a number of lessons, since then we have updated all our equipment and changed our Internet provider and the tests so far have been excellent"

The services is expecting to go live at the end of October 2011.

COMMUNITY            FUN DAY REPORT
                                         AUGUST BANK HOLIDAY MONDAY was another special event held at St Luke's, with fantastic weather a record number of people attended the event this year. Its estimated that close on 1000 people attended the event. As usual there was the Free Hog Roast, along with a 7metre climbing wall, bouncy castles, coconut shy, and a host of other games. Pastor Martyn Sullivan said "we were blessed with a great team of people organising the event and it was fantastic to see families enjoying themselves, seeing the smile on their faces was worth all the effort put into the event ...
